  • Location data when permission is granted in the mobile app so substitutes can manage nearby school preferences and travel settings.
  • Notification data such as device tokens, email preferences, and related delivery metadata needed to send workflow notifications.
  • Support and diagnostic information that helps us investigate issues, secure the service, and respond to requests.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to operate SubTea and support the staffing workflows users expect.

  • Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
  • Match schools and substitutes for assignments and scheduling workflows.
  • Store, review, and share compliance or personal-vault materials according to the product’s consent and access rules.
  • Send product notifications by web, email, and push notification.
  • Maintain platform security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
  • Comply with legal, operational, and audit requirements.

3. How information is shared

SubTea is built to share only the information needed for staffing and compliance workflows. We do not sell personal information.

  • Schools and substitutes can see data that is required for accepted staffing relationships, assignment requests, scheduling, compliance review, and explicit sharing actions.
  • We use service providers to operate the platform, including hosted infrastructure, email delivery, and notification services.
  • We may disclose information where required by law, platform security needs, or to protect users, schools, and the service.

4. Storage and security

SubTea uses hosted infrastructure and access controls to protect account data, documents, and app activity. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to use appropriate technical and operational safeguards for the data we handle.

  • Users can update profile information and many staffing preferences directly in the app.
  • Mobile users can control notification and location permissions through their device settings.
